New Players - Register your Interest - 2021/22
Date of Event Heidelberg Cricket Club: Tue Mar 23, 2021 9:00AM

Register your interest to play !!

In 2021/22 we will have Girls and Boys sides in U10s, U12s, U14s, U16's and U18s. Both Girls and Boys teams will receive equal focus from the club, and we encourage all new players/families to preregister their son/daughter for the upcoming season. This will help us plan teams/coaches for next season to ensure every child that has reserved a place, is given the opportunity to play cricket.

The key changes we have put in place to ensure the juniors can flourish as best as possible are as follows:

•Coaches and support staff are trained to ensure cricket will be played in a Covid-safe manner.

•Put the best possible people in place to teach the kids, develop their cricket and allow them to enjoy playing.

•Specialist sessions from seniors players during training throughout the season.

•HCC junior pathways program to be rolled out throughout the season.

•An emphasis on helping the elite kids to play at representative level.

•Ongoing efforts to improve the skills and enjoyment of kids of all abilities.

•Forming a closer link with the junior football club.

•For kids at U14s upwards, a weekly opportunity to train with seniors on Thursdays and play throughout the grades on Saturdays.

•Work closely on the transition between junior and senior cricket and make it seamless.

•Three HCC family nights at the club including food, entertainment and match reports.

•Dedicated sub-committee focused on developing female cricket, ensuring the female teams receive all the assistance they require.
